What People Say About Us
Peri is awesome. He is extremely responsive and did an excellent job on our bathroom renovation. I recommend going with him and I will be using him for all our plumbing needs in the future.
The service was great. I called Peri from Proto Home Service Plumbing for a clogged kitchen sink. After inspecting some pipe connectors/drainage, he realized that some connections were wrong. He took the time to explain everything in detail that needed to be changed. I followed his recommendations and I'm very happy with the results. Peri is very professional with many years of experience. Highly recommend!!
Peri was amazing! He was super informative and gave me an estimate right off the bat. The service was fast and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be using Proto Home Service again!
Clean, professional work. They were quick to respond and took the time to explain the new tank’s operation. We had an oil hot water tank replaced (which most plumbers can't/won't do). Great work. Thank you.
I recently had Peri from Proto Home Service Plumbing handle all the plumbing work for my bathroom renovation, and I couldn't be more impressed! He installed a brand new walk-in shower, infinity drain, toilet, and faucet with absolute precision and care. What stood out most was the excellent quality of his work combined with his professional attitude and very reasonable rates. Throughout the entire project, Peri demonstrated exceptional skill and attention to detail...
Our water heater gave out unexpectedly. Peri and his team were there in less than 18 hours to replace it. He is very responsive and he will always be my first call when anything plumbing or heating needs attention.
These guys are AMAZING. If you’re looking for someone who is both knowledgeable and super-responsive, these are your guys. They have dealt with some super janky plumbing for me in a couple of old buildings and they did a phenomenal job. Trustworthy and reasonably priced. Hard combination to beat.

Choose Proto Home Service for HVAC & Plumbing Services in Weymouth, MA
Settled in 1622 as the Wessagusset Colony, Weymouth is the second-oldest town in Massachusetts, and it still wears that history well — from the Victorian streets of East Weymouth near Whitman’s Pond to Weymouth Landing, the North Weymouth waterfront, and South Weymouth around the old Naval Air Station. Proto Home Service has worked across all four villages with more than 40 years of experience.
Plumbing, heating, cooling, water heaters — we handle the full range, and every visit starts the same way: a technician looks at what’s actually going on, tells you plainly what they find, and lays out the options before any work begins.
Reach us at (617) 842-9104 to book a visit for your Weymouth home, or call any hour for a heating, cooling, plumbing, or water heater emergency — we’re available 24/7.

HVAC Service That Keeps Weymouth Homes Running Smoothly
Weymouth runs the gamut architecturally — Victorian-era homes near Jackson Square, mid-century construction throughout the town, and new builds going up around Union Point all ask something a little different of an HVAC system. Proto Home Service works on furnaces, boilers, central air conditioners, and heat pumps across all of it.
A routine maintenance visit and an urgent call get treated with different urgency, but not different care — we look at the equipment, explain what we find, and only then talk about what comes next.
No heat in the middle of a cold snap shouldn’t have to sit on a waitlist. 24/7 emergency heating service is available in Weymouth.

Furnace Repair & Replacement for Weymouth Homes
A furnace rarely quits without some warning first — a longer cycle, a new sound, heat that lags behind what the thermostat is asking for. We service both gas and oil-fired furnaces, and our active Massachusetts Oil Burner license covers the older systems still common in Weymouth’s pre-war housing.
• Furnace Repair & Maintenance
• Furnace Installation & Replacement
When a repair is the right call, our post on furnace troubleshooting is a decent starting point for what to watch for. When it isn’t, we’ll size a replacement to the actual house instead of guessing.
Our HVAC Plan Membership ($44/month or $479/year) keeps seasonal maintenance and priority scheduling off your to-do list.

Boiler Service for Dependable Heat in Weymouth
Radiator heat is still common throughout Weymouth’s older neighborhoods, and a boiler can run for decades without complaint — right up until it doesn’t. Uneven heat, pressure that won’t hold, a new knock or hiss: all worth a look before they turn into something bigger. The same Oil Burner license that covers our furnace work applies to boilers too.
• Boiler Repair & Maintenance
• Boiler Installation & Replacement
East Weymouth in particular still has plenty of homes built during the town’s shoemaking era, when the Stetson Shoe Company and the rest of the industry drove Weymouth’s growth, and hydronic systems original to that period turn up regularly alongside far newer installs. When a boiler’s reached the end, we size the replacement to the home rather than to whatever’s standard.

Air Conditioning Repair & Service in Weymouth
Cooling problems in Weymouth tend to creep up rather than announce themselves — a room that never quite gets comfortable, a system that runs longer than it used to. We’re EPA-registered for refrigerant handling, required for any repair or replacement that touches it.
• Air Conditioning Repair
• Air Conditioning Maintenance
• Air Conditioning Installation & Replacement
We check the equipment first and tell you what we find before talking replacement — our annual cooling service post covers what that actually involves.
If the AC fails during a stretch of hot weather, 24/7 emergency cooling service is available in Weymouth.

Heat Pump Service for Year-Round Comfort in Weymouth
A heat pump in a coastal town like Weymouth earns its keep across the whole year — carrying the cooling load through summer, the heating load through winter, and everything in between. Proto Home Service installs and services heat pumps and ductless mini-splits throughout Weymouth.
• Heat Pump Repair
• Heat Pump Maintenance
• Heat Pump Installation & Replacement
Weymouth is served by National Grid, so the standard Mass Save incentives genuinely apply here, and we’re a recognized Mass Save Heat Pump Installer — worth raising as part of the installation conversation.
If you’re weighing a heat pump for the first time, we start with the home’s existing setup and actual heating and cooling needs before talking through equipment.

Plumbing Service for Problems Big & Small in Weymouth
A plumbing issue in Weymouth is usually about the fixtures and pipe inside the house rather than what’s coming into it — but the water side of things is worth knowing about too. The town is partway through a major, state-funded project to join the MWRA water system, targeted for 2031, aimed at roughly doubling Weymouth’s water capacity. Until that’s finished, we still rule out supply and pressure issues as part of a normal plumbing visit, the same as always.

Water Heater Repair, Replacement & Installation in Weymouth
Hot water that runs out early, takes longer to recover, or just isn’t as hot as it used to be usually means something’s already changed inside the tank. We check the equipment itself, tank or tankless, before recommending anything.
• Water Heater Repair
• Water Heater Maintenance

We’re a certified Navien Service Specialist for anyone looking at a tankless upgrade, and our water heater lifespan post covers what actually extends the life of the one you have.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Have questions about our Plumbing & HVAC services? We’ve answered the most common ones below to help you feel confident before you book.
All four villages — North Weymouth, Weymouth Landing, East Weymouth, and South Weymouth.
Not yet, and not for a while — the town’s MWRA connection is targeted for 2031. Until then, we still rule out supply and pressure issues as part of a normal plumbing visit, the same as we always have.
Not for us. Weymouth was a major shoe-manufacturing town well into the 20th century, and the Victorian housing that went up around it still has original pipe, older boilers, and wiring that predates modern HVAC standards. We deal with that regularly.
Often, depending on the day’s job list. Call as early as you can for the best shot at a same-day slot.
Round the clock. No heat, a burst pipe, a failed water heater — those don’t wait for morning, and neither do we.
Yes — our Massachusetts Oil Burner license covers oil-fired furnaces and boilers alongside our gas and plumbing work.
Age, repair history, and what it’s costing you in energy bills all factor in. We’ll inspect the system and give you a straight answer instead of steering toward whichever option costs more.
Tank or tankless, we service both — and we’re a certified Navien Service Specialist if a tankless upgrade is on your radar.
